Flying brooms, crime scenes and explosive booms! Summer at the Science Station is not your same old science camp. See you next year!
On Wednesdays during the academic year, we offer 6-week sessions of dynamic, lab-based STEM classes for elementary and middle school students.
Through graduate level training workshops, access to a state-of-the-art equipment lending library, and NGSS curriculum support, we help make science a little easier to teach.

about us
Welcome! The Science Station is a leading resource center for STEM education in Central Oregon, delivering innovative programming to K-12 students and inquiry-based training for their teachers.
Our laboratory-based curriculum opens minds and empowers young scientists to be critical thinkers and decision-makers. We engage students with the tools, technologies and freedom to ask and answer their own questions, making discoveries not possible in the regular classroom.
Last year, we reached 7,000 students from a broad range of socioeconomic backgrounds, including targeted Title I schools and Spanish-speaking classrooms. We provided training and teaching resources for more than 200 educators. And our student researchers continued to win awards and university scholarships for their ground-breaking work.
It all happens in our NetZero STEM learning facility, which we constructed on the OSU-Cascades campus in 2018. The building serves as a living laboratory for students to better understand the connection between technology, innovation and our environment. Most significantly, it represents our commitment to inclusion and accessibility, offering students of all backgrounds early exposure to a university setting.
